Privacy Policy

Last updated · 3 July 2026

We collect as little as we can, use it only to do what you asked, never sell it, and let you delete it. This page explains the specifics in plain language, including how we handle data from any third-party platform you connect.

Who we are

Perceptivity Labs (“Perceptivity”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Perceptivity AI Lab Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. It builds AI perception products, Sense, which measures how answer engines and social understand, cite, and recommend a brand; Axon, which holds the brand's approved truth; and Studio, which turns measured perception gaps into governed, brand-safe assets. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, Perceptivity AI Lab Private Limited is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

You can reach us about any privacy matter, including requests to access or delete your data, at the address at the end of this page.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to our website, the Sense, Axon, and Studio products, and any interaction you have with us, including when you connect a third-party account (such as a Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or other platform account) to our services. It explains what we collect, why, how we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.

Information we collect

  • Contact and account details you provide, name, work email, company, role, through signup, the founder-reviewed scan, walkthrough requests, and enquiries.
  • Brand inputs you provide, brand names, website URLs, briefs, and reference material you choose to share so we can run an analysis.
  • Data from connected platforms, where you explicitly authorise it, limited profile, page, or account information from third-party services you connect (see “Third-party connections” below). We request only what is needed for the feature you enabled.
  • Usage and device data, basic, privacy-respecting analytics such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser type, and referring source, used to operate and improve the service.
  • Communications, messages you send us by email or through the product.

Public and model-derived information

A core function of our products is to observe how publicly accessible AI engines, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and AI Overviews, answer category questions, and to map publicly available information about brands. This analysis uses public model outputs and public sources; it is the product working as intended and does not involve collecting private personal data about you.

Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies

We use a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product. We do not use them to build advertising profiles or to sell your data. Where required by law, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Third-party connections and platform data

If you choose to connect a third-party platform or “connector” (for example a Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or similar account or API), we access only the information you authorise during that connection, and we use it solely to provide the specific feature you enabled, never to spam your contacts, post without your instruction, or resell platform data.

We handle any data obtained through these platforms in accordance with the applicable platform’s developer terms and policies, and we do not transfer it to data brokers or use it for unrelated purposes. You can disconnect a platform, or revoke our access from within that platform’s own settings, at any time; doing so stops further collection and, on request, we will delete data previously received through that connection unless we are required to retain it by law.

How we use information

  • To provide, operate, secure, and improve Sense, Axon, Studio, and the website.
  • To run the analyses and reports you request, and to share results with you.
  • To enable features of any third-party platform you have connected, strictly within the scope you authorised.
  • To respond to enquiries and send updates you have asked for.
  • To meet legal, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.

Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, we process personal information on one or more of these bases: your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); performance of a contract or steps you asked us to take; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service in a way that does not override your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, hosting, analytics, and email delivery) under confidentiality and data-protection terms, with a successor in the event of a merger or acquisition, or where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

International data transfers

We are based in India and may process information there and in other countries. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism, to protect it.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it. Data received through a connected platform is retained only while the connection is active or as needed to provide the feature you requested.

Your rights and choices

  • Access, correct, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time using the link in the email.
  • Disconnect any third-party platform and revoke our access from within that platform.

How to request deletion

To delete your account, your data, or information obtained through a connected platform, email us with the subject “Data deletion” at the address at the end of this page. We will verify the request and delete the relevant data within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain it. We do not charge for exercising your rights and will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including access controls, encryption in transit, and least-privilege handling of connected-platform data, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard what we hold and to limit what we collect in the first place.

Children’s privacy

Our products and website are intended for businesses and for individuals aged 18 and over. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our products and practices change. The current version always lives at this URL with its effective date; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
